..Ayres Associates to Host Doing Business with the US Army Corps of Engineers - April 3, 2014 in Eau Claire, WI


Gwendolyn Davis, Small Business Specialist, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District will be the guest speaker at the upcoming session hosted by Ayres Associates.  Ms. Davis will be discussing how a business can work with the USACE, upcoming opportunities and share her insights. 
USACE is the world's largest public engineering, design, and construction management agency and spends billions of dollars with businesses each year in support of their mission.  USACE projects include:
·         Planning, designing, building and operating locks and dams
·         Flood control and waterway navigation
·         Designing and constructing military facilities for the Department of Defense
·         Design and construction of flood protection systems
·         Ecosystem restoration
In addition to learning about business opportunities with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI) will present information of opportunities for construction firms with other Federal agencies located in Wisconsin – US Forest Service, Department of Veteran Affairs and Ft. McCoy.  WPI will also discuss how to a business responds to requirements from these Federal agencies.
Businesses, especially small businesses including woman, veteran, disadvantaged and HUBZone certified firms have significant opportunities with the Federal government and government primes and are encouraged to attend.
